I am hoping to share my experiences of nature and the outdoors found in the National Parks of Southern Africa in this channel and in doing so hopefully bring you the same joy and happiness that I have found in these treasures on the southern part of the African continent
Hippo picks fight with a buffalo but reality kicks in. Also some recent material from my happy place
On the road between Lower Sabie and Skukuza is a smallish waterhole right next to the road. When we arrived this large duggaboy, a name for an old bachelor buffalo bull, was settling in next to the water. Old duggaboys spend a lot of time laying next to water where they have everything they need, water and grazing close by and peace and tranquility. Unfortunately the hippos had other ideas for this intruded on their turf. The hippos seemed like they were trying to get the buffalo to go, but has was having none of this, they are grumpy old mean beasts and you do not mess with a grumpy old buff.

Three of the biggest of the big 5 spending time in and around the water. Global warming coming to us

Water is life and the bigger you are the more water you need to survive. Ellies, buffs and rhinos drink regularly and enjoy wallowing in the water or mud. Mpondo dam is in the south of Kruger National Park, a little off the beaten track and an unknown gem. It is north of Biyamithi camp, also a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of the south. Matjulu waterhole can get very busy, being cl...
Black mamba, something that always impose fear and awe at the same time, you do not mess with them

We were staying in the riverview tents at Lower Sabie recently, always memorable and beautiful, a real treat. One day, on leaving our tent, one of the workers called us over to the tree behind our accommodation and showed us this big black mamba that was moving about in the tree. He was posted to keep an eye on the snake while someone else was trying to find a snake catcher in the camp. It is p...
Trouble in paradise amongst feathery friends; sunbirds, vultures and drongo's not happy together

Birds of a feather do not always flock together in harmony, sometimes they fight, whether it is over food or females or just because they do not like each other, just like us humans often do.
Mabula Lodge, a gem close to Bela Bela where you can see the big 5 without breaking the bank.

We spent a timeshare week at Mabule Lodge recently, our third visit there over a long time frame of about 33 years. Lots has changed since our last visit about 15 years ago but lots has stayed the same. At the time of our previous visit they had the big five, now they have the big seven, having introduced wild dog and cheetah during the last fifteen years. We managed to see five of the big seve...
Kruger Park delivering again, 6 lion sightings in 4 days. Here are some of them and other videos.

We visited Kruger in June this year for four days with my family from Pretoria. They are not big on game drives, they are there for the atmosphere and eating out at the many fine eateries and picnic spots such as Afsaal, Nkuhlu and Tshokwane. We had lunch at Shalati, the train restaurant in Skukuza Camp where I had the best burger that I could remember for a very long time. As a result we did n...

Some people have all the luck. We took a friend from the Vrystaat for her first ever visit to the Kruger National Park and within 2 minutes she had the privilege of seeing one of Kruger's rarest species on a kill shortly after entering Malelane Gate. Two kilometers further a singe lioness and a hyaena in the same spot and 15 kilometers further a pride of lions with the big mane walking past our...

It has been a while since my last video, a computer crash combined with load shedding kept me out of circulation. Now I have solar and have kissed load shedding goodbye so I am back in business. This video features many birds, hopefully there will be more to follow, it was taken in the Westcoast National Park, a gem close to Cape Town. The best time to visit is in August and September when it i...
Unfriendly hippo tries to swallow surfer bird at Sunset Dam in Kruger National Park
Переглядів 4 тис.Рік тому
This is tongue in cheek, it is unlikely that the hippo would try to swallow a bird, they are herbivores, or grass eaters. The hippo was more than likely just trying to chase the bird off, it must be irritating to have them walking all over you.

100% fek video
I don't get it. Why people are filming things like this? For views? Nature is hard enough, but this is very disrespectful to the animal that died! And all in front of the camera, wow what a wonderful hobby you have! Disgusting.
Impala and the kid was human and ate teasty meat in last birth, now they eaten by them.
I thought Hyenas were brutal until I saw this video
As a Muslim, my belief is that after death we will enter into the fire in us in the Qur’an, he will say, I wish I was dust like the animal because the animal will become dust and has no account that does not hold accountable. As for a person, he will be held accountable on the day of resurrection.
Imagine being born already bitten and devoured by predators. Welcome to the world.
Bad video. Stop panning the camera. Get more practice making videos. 😂😂😂😂
Humans are a lot worse than this. So relax everyone
How can you even compare the two. There are thousands of wild dogs and over eight billion humans. Plenty of humans are vegetarian.
@@JesseWRIGHT-th8mwobviously I was meaning those humans who show incredible cruelty to animals. There are many of those.
Great description btw. Thanks
Can't imagine how that would feel and she sits there so quiet. Unreal how cruel nature is but I know it's a must for survival. Just very sad

Déjame en paz qué me estan despulgando..joder 🤔 😅
Lets use this as a reminder to thank our ancestors for climbing to the top of the food chain
Pure Brutality from The NATURE 😢😢
Man...this is hard to watch. I understand its nature but, damn....it's heartbreaking to see an animal getting savaged like this.
Why did god create life just to have us eat each other
como pueden dormir las personas que filman estos horribles momentos sabiendo que no hicieron nada solo por filmar por unas miles de vistas, o tal vez me afecta porque yo salvo vidas a diario y jamas permitiría q lastimena a otros!
The flight of the swallow still catches the eye
❤❤❤❤❤❤
A full Grown Bull hippo would be a little different, however, it would still need to be careful, a 2,000 lb Buffalo is still powerful and tend to be aggressive and those horns are no joke🤷🏼♂️
Bu seyler neye gülur Allah belanizi versin gulen insanlar
fckin spawn campers
Buffalo got up and said, "you want to piece of me", hippo ran into water.
Nice to see prey act smart from time to time
Wie könnt ihr da lachen ihr Spanner. Diese Welt gehört vernichtet
Daggaboy?
Yes
Hippos can move fast when they want too. Don't Judge a book by its cover.
The buffalo is as calm as a rock, and these hippos are insecure and cowardly.

They look like really cute But they're fucking horrifying
Perfect video to show that hippos don’t swim. I could have watched this for an hour!Really neat stuff😄
I appreciate being able to hear the sounds of the environment you’re in. No beeping, picking crude clacking, engines, radios etc., in the background. Great little video.🙂
europe and MUSLIMS
Went out like true warrior.
Animals are brutal. Americans abort 1.5 million babies a year? Nothing to see here.
This bull would not stand a chance against a full grown 'hippo' . . .
There were like 7 full grown hippos and they didn't do anything
The last scene with the rhino, girraffe, zebra and antelope living peacefully is beautiful
Respect for the elders.
This makes u appreciate being on the top of the food chain
You say dog's sniffing around trying to pick up a scent, amongst all the diesel fumes your trucks pumping out im surprised they can pick up anything apart from diesel fumes
They literally were eating that ass
Crazy how it just eventually gives up and is like "would you please just get this over with"
Interesting
Fascinating watch. Thanks for keeping the original sound
Why the waterbuck surrendered quickly
Shes pregnant so she must've had no energy
Boring video
Someone was blessed enough to be there to film it. You're watching it on your computer then have the nerve. Sounds like maybe your life is boring.
@@cjames4478 My life is boring and so is this video
Maybe your life is boring because you fill it watching boring video's, bet there not all boring tho,if you get my meaning lol
Good video🤝
👍
Terrible. What is there to admire? Bunch of loathsome dirty dogs devoured poor Kobus alive
they're just innocent animals eating their natural diet. Waterbucks eat their food in an identical manner.
Being eaten alive , on that watching your unborn offspring having the same fate is really gruesome. By the way I have read such kind of thing in human society too. God have mercy 🙏
Hippo calfs? Buffaloes: "Cape buffaloes weigh 425 to 870 kg" Hippos: "The mean adult weight is around 1,480 kg (3,260 lb) for bulls and 1,365 kg (3,009 lb) for cows"
